Held at the Warragul Leisure Centre pool, the swim leg is raced in the outdoor 50 metre pool. The bike leg is raced on a 3km circuit around the Leisure Centre, heading up Burke St, left into King St, left into Wills St, left into Spring St, then joining up with Burke St again. The run leg is around the walking tracks in Burke St Park, opposite the Leisure Centre.
The swim leg is held in the 25 metre indoor pool, the bike ride is along the footpath and gravel track around the Burke St park area (about 1km), and the run is on the grass oval outside our club rooms (about 300 metres).
Distances for Juniors vary depending on the age and confidence level of the children, ranging from 1 lap of each leg up to 6 laps of each leg.
We usually have about 80 to 100 junior members aged between 5 and 12 years, with up to 40 racing each Saturday.
JWe normally run a free BBQ each week for all participants but due to COVID 19 have cancelled the BBQ at this stage. Our triathlons have a very family friendly atmosphere about them. We love to see lots of new faces every year.
On our last race before Christmas we have best decorated bike competition for the Juniors, athletes dress up in their Santa hats and there is lots of fun to be had.
Everyone is welcome to join our club. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or a first timer we are about getting out there, moving and having fun.
